Herbalist tips

This syrup is delicious straight from the spoon but you could add it to a warm drink (not too hot - heat destroys vitamin c), to your drink bottle or even used as a dessert topping.
The best time to take Vitamin C is generally in the morning with breakfast or shortly after. Taking it with food can help improve absorption and, if you have a sensitive stomach, this can reduce the likelihood of stomach upset (although our Vitamin C is very gentle on the digestive system).
If you're taking Vitamin c to improve absorption of iron, then best to take it with your meals.

Echinacea
Echinacea
Echinacea purpurea

Primarily used to support immune function, especially where sinus health or respiratory health is compromised. The root contains high concentrations of alkylamides, scientifically researched to support a healthy response to inflammation and stimulate the immune system. Also used to support skin health, especially healing of skin wounds.

Sea Buckthorn Berries
Sea Buckthorn Berries
Hippophae Rhamnoides

Sea buckthorn berries are one of the best sources of naturally occurring Vitamin C. As well as being super rich in Vitamin C and other antioxidant flavonoids, the berries also contain minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids and Vitamin E. Grows on very thorny bushes making the berries notoriously difficult to harvest.

Zinc
Zinc
Zn

Zinc is an essential mineral required for the activity of over 100 enzymes and supports immune health, wound healing and cell division. It is also needed for normal growth and development during pregnancy, childhood and adolescence, and for a proper sense of taste and smell. As the body cannot store zinc, it must be sourced daily through the diet. It is highly bioavailable in this chelate form.

FAQs

Is it possible to take too much vitamin C?
As our bodies can't store vitamin C, any excess will be flushed out through urine. A sign that your body has more vitamin c on board than it needs is loose stools.
Does this vitamin C need to mixed in water?
No, our Vitamin C is delicious straight from the spoon. But if you prefer to mix in water, that's fine too. If mixed into a warm drink, the water should not be too hot as heat destroys vitamin C.
How much vitamin C do I need daily, and can I get enough from food alone?
Everyone's vitamin C requirements will vary depending on how quickly your body is using the vitamin C available to it. It will use vitamin C faster when you're stressed or unwell. While food is the first choice to source nutrients like Vitamin C, because our bodies don't have the ability to store Vitamin C, it's not always possible to keep up with your body's demands. That's when a supplement is a good option.
Will this Vitamin C upset my stomach?
Our Vitamin C is very gentle on the digestive system so it's unlikely to cause an upset stomach if you follow the recommended dose.
